DJ JAY has been writing and producing music for over five years now, constantly changing his own style as his own tastes have changed. He is currently writing various types of dance music, including techno, drum & bass, and house. He is also playing guitar and writing more traditional tracks with fellow guitarist Danny Hale.

Not liking to stick to one style or genre DJ JAY is ever trying to create new sounds and styles. Trying to push the ever dull boundaries of current music.

Over the last number of years DJ JAY has been improving and enhancing his engineering and production skills on several college and University courses. Which has given him tools and knowledge which enabled him to enhance his own music.

Influences are vast and wide for DJ JAY. You could say that everything he hears is an influence in one way or another. Some current artists that he likes and respects are David Gray and Merz. As well as artists like DJ Surgeon, Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, H, Jeff Mills in the techno world and people like Ed Rush + Optical, The Usual Suspects, Roni Size and Ray Keith in the drum & bass world.

As well as producing DJ JAY has also been djing for the last four years. Beginning playing underground techno, which he heard in his favourite clubs (Atomic-Jam and the House of God), moving on to play drum & bass, tech- house and funky house as the years progressed.
